Shetland Livestock Visit

This is a virtual tour to demonstrate the handling procedure for livestock being imported into Shetland. The virtual tour provides access to interactive footage and embedded resources to demonstrate the procedure currently in use on Shetland that helps to protect all livestock on the island by checking disease status of all animals arriving onto the island. The livestock are received directly from the ferries into the bespoke handling system, checked and dosed by vets before being collected by the importers. All sheep are then moved directly to the dipping facility before being taken to their destination where they are isolated on=farm awaiting results and possible follow up checks. The procedure helps maintain disease control on the island.
